WOW Ms.D so many questions @_@..
now I’m more confused than ever..
hahaha jokes. I’m thinking of paper mashe? It’ll probably be a bit messy, but then again messy = fun!

It’ll help them in coloring, painting, arts & crafts, and drawing skills all at the same time

This is another thing I used to enjoy doing in my old school art classes.

The problem is that, it might go over time. But I’ll work something out

Ms.D, your power point presentation was AWESOME.Everyone loved it, well at least I definitely did.Some things I’d like to say about this whole thing:
1.) I wrote a super long comment for you the other day.. But my laptop died on me, and now I don’t remember what i wrote last time, but I’ll do my best

2.) Do you know the cartoon called “Angry beavers” from nickelodeon? Its from the late 1990s. They have this one episode on Canada, where they do this musical. it was just hilarious. If i happen to run into the clip, I’ll send it to you.

3.) I envy all the pretty snow you got in Canada… Why can’t my hometown have snow [obviously I already know the reason why, but still...]

4.) And if I was to eat Canadian food, it would be beer & pancake..?

5.) There’s a commercial someone made on advertising Tivo, and they made it really similar to the video you showed us. Remember to check out some tv when you come back from camp! byebye~

Mrs Dominico!! i’d knew that canada was beautiful country but i realised one more time that canada is perfectly wonderful country especially snowing at winter, i love it. because there is snow in korea too, so i could remind myself when i played in snow with my friends in korea winter season although i wasn’t able to see the snowing since came Australia. however Mrs.D i will prepare my project AS much as you prepared and i will finish it in succeess. ok see you in claas

After watching the PPT, I found quite a lot things I previously didn’t know about Canada.
I did know some stereotypes about Canada like the lumberjacks, fur traders as well as the heavy snow(loved that).
But I didn’t quite know about the Franch and English speaking issue and the voting in Quebec. And found out some really beautiful landscapes in Canada.
In my country, actually my hometown, there was hardly any snow, although the winters were quite chilly.
Especially like the Joe Speech.

I love this video, it’s soooooooo good!
Especially in a commercial form, all the features, common senses(as well as stereotypes) about Canada is compressed into a short video.

I’ve had to change my theme–the comments and right-hand side bar keep disappearing!

Is anybody else having trouble? Also, can anyone see the videos? I couldn’t see them on Friday, but I can see them now…very odd.

Hey Phyllis,

I am looking forward to cartooning, too!

I think that you are on the right track for sure; by the way, we can be messy as long as we tidy up!

What kind of objects will we draw? Faces? Landscape? Maybe you should focus on a particular scene to teach us to draw?

Are we going to write a story in as well as draw? Will we draw more than one scene? Will you teach us to draw simply, or with detail?

All things to think about

I’m really looking forward to your bball presentation, I think you will do a great job.

My advice to you is to think about the way you like to learn. “Emulate” (that means “to mimic’) your favourite teachers. How did they help you learn? Try to help others learn in the same way.

i have one idea too: how will we make sure nobody gets injured? Sometimes in sport people “take things too far”–which means that they might hurt other people (eg. broken thumb).

How can you, as the teacher, make sure this does not happen and that everyone is safe and healthy at the end?

Hey Lamphere, I think that will be fun!

But if we cook in class, then there may be some safety issues. What do you think some of these might be, and even more importantly how will you get around them?

ALso, have you thought about how much time it will take for each task? What if the studnets don’t finish?

@ Alicia : I like the way you timed it out. Nice one. Have you tried (for practice) to teach it to anyone yet?
That might be helpful to you–especially someone who is unfamiliar with using MovieMaker (which crashes all the time)
